On Vacation not so much

I can't believe I posted my last entry only two months ago. It feels like it's been ages since then.
Okay, quick recap:

• Junior year officially ended last Wednesday for me.
• I got excellent grades!
• I wrote a new outline for a brand new novel. Decided the unicorn idea was done. No title yet. (I have a feeling about this one!)
• I got a tegakie account, became obsessed and then toned it down a bit. I still like drawing there cuz its so laid back and it helps me relax.
  
• I'm drawing a little more now
• I'm going back to school tomorrow to get Geometry done and out of the way.
  
• I'M GOING TO THE PRE-COLLEGE PROGRAM AT CCA (California College of the Arts) in Oakland this summer. This one better happen cuz we already paid for it.
  
• I went to visit my family in Mexico this weekend. Just got back last night.
  

And that's pretty much it. I'm happy now. I don't feel as weird and stressed out as I did when i wrote that last entry. I kind of re-invented myself in tegakie, making a new style that I only use when drawing there. It's a more fun, laid-back style. Also, I've become very interested in pretty much anything from the 20's to the 50's (including people, books, history, moves, fashion etc...). And I kind of like experimenting with fashion from the late 1800's and early 1900's as well.
Once again I came across a bunch of new songs and am now pretty over them.
I still really like them, I just want some new stuff to take a break from the not-so-new stuff I keep listening to.
I'm glad I'm taking the second semester of Geometry over the summer. It lasts three weeks and a half, but my sister and I are going to the pre-college program two weeks after that so I'll do something fun after something relatively dull.
I hope everything goes well this summer and everyone else has a great summer, too!

I fixed my old website, finally. I haven't had a lot of time to work on a lot of things due to lack of inspiration and lack of time so there aren't a lot of good drawings on there. Mostly old stuff, except for the Projects page, which is all new stuff.
I don't know. I'm feeling kind of sad lately. Very tired and uninspired and pressured when, really, there is hardly any pressure on me. I just downloaded a ton of new songs and I'm already completely over all of them. I hate it when this happens. I need new music!
I wish I was more productive artwise because I'd love to have my deviantart, sketch blog, and website full of beautiful things but none of my old stuff shows any kind of talent or originality.
I think I need to find myself and my style in my art. Start over, maybe?
That's probably it.
Except I don't know where to start. Just begin to experiment?
I really don't like how lazy I am when it comes to coloring. I always plan to shade things very intricately and I end up doing as little details as possible.
I'm on a crisis. Mentally and emotionally, I think. Let's add physically as well, because it could be better too.

I think I'm pressuring myself to be perfect because it feels like college is so close by and I'm terribly insecure in almost every possible aspect.
Also, the art teacher at my school is ridiculously annoying. She gives me absolutely no constructive criticism. It's like she has ADD. She'll start saying things as if she's thinking out loud, but she's talking to you.
And I asked her, specifically, if it needed anything, if it was a good idea, etc and she started saying something about bringing in some random ass book. WHAT?

She stresses me out.
I can't imagine what it'll be like when she teaches AP art next year.
I'll become suicidal.

Naw, I'm sure I'll survive. At least I'll have an AP credit to show all the art colleges I apply to. That's my primary focus. I WANT TO GO TO COLLEGE!

Omg it's been such a long time since the last time I wrote on here. So it's '08 now. yay. Ok, a quick recap from the last post to now, ready? GO:

1. I haven't written a thing since the last post.

2. I've decided (with some help) that the last draft of my book is shit and I need to completely re-write the whole thing.

3. I've decided I'm going to major in illustration.

4. No, I'm not going to stop writing (why would I?)

5. One of my favorite teachers kind of commissioned my sister and me to illustrate a book he wrote (it sucks that I haven't been inspired to draw anything yet), but we're not really getting paid for it. (we will if it does well when he publishes it).

6. I'm going to try to get into AP art next year to help me prepare for college and also to help me practice different types of illustration.

7. I'm doing REALLY well in school!

8. I read a really good book called The Right Address.

9. I'm going to San Francisco this long weekend(Rodeo break) to visit one of my top schools, The Academy of Art University with my mom and sister.

10. I've started using livejournal more often than blogger (sorry!), I'll try to keep both balanced.

11. I'm going to have a new nephew! I'm fighting to have him named Adrian since my aunt and uncle don't like Sebastian because it has some annoying nicknames in spanish. (We would've named him Isabel if it had been a girl).

12. I got a new red Gateway laptop and my own Bamboo Fun pen tablet!!

13. I'm getting a new desk and I'll get to re-decorate my room and buy tons of things we're missing for our kitchen (I love looking at blenders and forks and apple peelers at Kohls)

14. I'm still really weird .

15. I plan to turn my page into an art website again, just as soon as I get some good art done and maybe even upgrading it so it doesn't have any stupid google advertisements around it.

16. LOL and I still don't have my permit.

17. Oh! and I'm past Algebra and on to Geometry. I'm taking the second semester during the summer so that I don't have to take it during my Senior year next year.

18. I plan to let my hair grow out all summer because it's really short right now and I can straighten it and not wash it for a couple of days, but I'll have two PE classes during the same semester next year so I can't be straightening it everyday, that's just ridiculous, so I'll let it grow long enough to wear a ponytail and then maybe cut it short again after that semester is over.

19. You Picked Me by A Fine Frenzy is my new musical obsession. Let's see how long this one will last.

20. AND I have a new red iPod nano because some dumbass stole my lovely old iPod video during ropes last semester. At least I helped the Africans.

It keeps making me sad to think that the movie Across the Universe is out and I can't see it because it's not in any of the theaters in my area. I've been waiting for it since the summer. What a big fat bummer. Hopefully, some day, it will make it to blockbuster.

Also, I just realized that I forgot to write my math homework last Friday, so I A. can't distract myself with that and B. will get lectured by my teacher tomorrow when I tell him I don't have my homework. Fun times.

There's absolutely no food I can nibble on. arrrrg I'll have to do some more Marine work then...not the most fun thing I could do, but I guess I'll thank myself later. :[

At least I have iTunes to keep me breathing.

Oh, oh, AND I can't believe I haven't mentioned this yet, but I finished the first draft of my book last month! Yes, finally! and right now I'm taking a break so that I'll be able to read it all again with fresh eyes and start editing like a maniac in about a month. It's so hard! I wish I could just start right now, but I'm convinced that waiting is better. I started writing the prologue to the sequel today, but I'm not very inspired to write. A few paragraphs are good, I think, for a day like today. Anyway, I'll write again when I've some more exciting news. I updated a whole bunch of things on my website, but it's all kind of pretend, because no one has read the book yet, obviously, so it's just to get myself pumped up and whatnot.

TROUBLE

There was a HUGE, HUGE cockroach in my room today. HUGE.
So I'm making myself some breakfast, you know, cuz I eat breakfast, and I hear my sister screeching at the top of her lungs. I run to our room and go, "What the hell?"
And she's like, "DON'T COME IN! THERE'S A HUGE ROACH UNDER MY BACKPACK!" (which was right next to the door.)
And I, naturally, jump back and screech at the top of my lungs. (IE. I absolutely loathe roaches. I die if I see one.)
I got a broom and we chased the damn cockroach around the room for seriously forty minutes. I definitely couldn't kill it. Every time I saw it move, I screamed and instantly ran away. My sister took forever to do it because we couldn't find it behind the bed and some other furniture. It was hell. And there was a point where I realized our iTunes was playing Why Couldn't It Be Christmas sang by Bianca Ryan (that was a little weird) and I turned it off.
FINALLY after Karla slammed the broom against it a billion times on the rug, the roach died.
SUCCESS! it seriously felt glorious. I hope I never see a roach again in my life.
It's a pity I couldn't find my cell phone to videotape it or take pictures but it was too chaotic.
I'm just glad that's over...

I don't know who these people are but I'm just like that girl freaking out on the chairthing. Except I scream a lot more.

Alright, here's the scoop tonight:
I saw Waitress and it's great. Go see it. (it's a movie) I cried after the credits (not sure why; maybe because it ended?)

Okay, on to more fun things! 1o weird facts about myself:

1. I have a strange obsession with putting lists on my blog.
2. I cry when I'm too angry.
3. I think guy love is awesome.
   
4. My toe nails are always polished and I'm always biting on my fingernails.
5. I don't like pants.
   
6. I think of the most horrible and painful ways of dieing at random times (freaky!).
   
7. ketchup makes me spew.
   
8. I like 50's music and electronic music (among many others)
9. Uneven numbers bug me. (13, 7, etc..)
10. I cook when I'm anxious.
    

I also have a twin, I'm from Mexico, I sleep in a day bed, I love sweet things, and don't have a permit yet, but those aren't really "weird". At least I don't think they are...

Khol's had a sale today. We had a coupon. We missed it. I'm not cheap, but I need a new hair drier. And now we'll have to pay for it without the 30% off. :(

I need to go find something funny on youtube.
I didn't go to the gym today.
I couldn't sleep last night.

Hell yea!

Okay, so this morning I called my school and asked a few questions and whatnot and *grin* I don´t have to go to summer school anymore! I`ll have to take one semester of algebraI B and then Geometry A next year and so on but that´s fine with me as long I don´t have to go to summer school this summer C: I have a few more weeks before I leave for mexico so now I have time to lose some weight, work on my book and get my permit.
Today was pretty boring. I had lunch at Wendy´s though, that was pretty much the highlight of my day. I also went to La Encantada Mall with my grandma and that was fun too. AJ´s coffee is THE best C:
I saw Spider-Man 3 las weekend and I thought it would suck but, honestly, I was impressed. I was actually going to watch some movie with lindsey lohan in it (only because I didn´t think there was anything better) and I started watching S-M 3 as I waited for the movie to start but I couldn´t bring myself to leave. I think the third is the best of all three. Topher was pretty good in it and I lol´d at Tobey´s awesome perfomance. He was good. If wanyone is thinking of seeing it: do.
